The prerequisite for this course, Small Mammal Rehabilitation, introduces the basic concepts associated with housing and feeding Gray Squirrels, Cottontails, and Virginia Opossums. This course highlights a more in-depth look at additional rehabilitation considerations including housing at different stages of growth, enrichment ideas and considerations, and benefits of providing wild foods. Advanced topics covered include dentition, commonly used and appropriate medications and their administration, and basics of wound care and bandaging. (2H, 2C)
